We have planned a search party to look for Jennifer Powers. Please read the information and if you have any questions please ask.
Search Party time and date set for Jennifer Powers missing from Harvest, Alabama.
The date for the search party is Saturday December 6, 2008 and possible December 7. The meeting point will be at Sparkman High School in Harvest, Alabama. We will be meeting between 8:30-9:00 am there.
Please try to wear boots if possible and bring a flash light since we will be walking through wooded areas. Trash bags will be provided to everyone to place your trash in while walking through the woods. If you can please bring a small notepad and pen with you to take notes of the area you are in.
Please respect her family during this hard time. With the Holiday season closing in on us we don’t want them to feel any more pressure. We don’t require them there, but her family is more than welcome to join us. Remember she has 3 children and a husband at home.

There will be a 15-20 minute briefing starting at 9:05 am to go over all the information with everyone.

We will also be furnishing a pair of latex gloves for everyone that wants to help in the search. These are being provided, because if you even THINK that you have found something of importance, we don't want it touched by bare hands. Touching anything without having the gloves on, could contaminate possible evidence.
Please note that if anything is found, we will be contacting the Sheriff's Dept. immediately, so that they send someone to check things out. They are aware of this search and as the people in charge of this case, they are the ones that will be contacted if needed.
We look forward to meeting each of you that wants to help in any way. We also appreciate the time that you are giving up, that could be spent doing the normal weekend things that you enjoy so much. This is just so important to us and we hope that it's important to all of you as well. Let's try to do our part to help find this beautiful young woman.
